Technical Assistance & Grant Writing

Technical Assistance

Thrive Allen County offers Technical Assistance (TA) services to other community organizations. As the largest and most prominent rural health advocacy organization in Kansas, Thrive understands what it takes to be an effective community asset, and we love to help spread that knowledge and lend our experience to your mission.

We know how difficult it is to launch, grow, and sustain a new group or organization. There are innumerable details to be worked out. While we can’t do your work for you, we can help you navigate the process, recognize your opportunities and challenges, and accomplish your goals.

Thrive currently works with communities in the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas Pathways to a Healthy Kansas program. Thrive was chosen to consult with Pathways grantees based on our growth and knowledge in the core areas of the Pathways program: healthy eating, tobacco cessation and healthy lifestyles.

Thrive’s TA services are also available to other groups, both inside and outside our state and region.

Contact us at info@thriveallencounty.org or 620-365-8128 for a consultation.

Grant Writing

Thrive Allen County’s grant director writes grant applications for Thrive, but is also available to help other groups and organizations apply for grants.

Applying for a grant can be a long, confusing, and time-intensive process, and the success of an organization’s mission often hinges on funding. Thrive can help in navigating the grant process, from researching funding opportunities, evaluating ideas, compiling data, crafting compelling narratives, and establishing a budget, down to actually submitting the application, and ultimately, managing the work and filing reports.

Thrive’s grant services are available, at no cost, to Allen County organizations, and are also available to organizations outside our county on a fee-for-service basis.

Thrive has helped apply for and manage hundreds of grants for numerous organizations, and we’re always happy to discuss your ideas, and offer our experiences.
