Non-Emergent Transportation Available

August 27, 2020

Thrive is bringing new transport options to Allen County. A non-emergent transportation program is currently in limited launch. What does that mean? If you need a ride, we can pick you up!

Thrive’s Care Coordinators, Greta and Rhonda, can now take Allen County residents to in-county and out-of-county health and wellness related tasks. This can include a variety of places, including:

  • Doctors and medical clinics
  • Dentists, opticians, and other specialized offices
  • Therapists and mental health providers
  • Grocery stores and food pantries
  • Social service appointments
  • Disability hearings
  • Social Security offices
  • DCF offices
  • And more–if you are unsure, call and ask!

Appointments may be inside or outside of Allen County, with transportation provided as far as Kansas City, Wichita, or Joplin. Our vehicle is not wheelchair-accessible at this point, but we are willing to work to accommodate a variety of mobility needs. For extra precaution due to COVID-19, vehicles are sanitized in between uses, and the driver and passenger must wear masks.

This program cannot provide emergency transportation to the hospital. If you have an emergency, please call 911. We also cannot provide regular transportation to work or other non-medical obligations.

To schedule transportation, please call Thrive at 620-365-8128 or email info@thriveallencounty.org.

This program was made possible by REACH Healthcare Foundation, Health Forward Foundation, and the generous support of the Allen County community.
