Today, our interns got their fellow students at Iola High School talking about the future of Allen County.
Janine Hron, Associate Director at the Center for Public Partnerships & Research at The University of Kansas, led a group activity designed to identify stepping stones that could bridge what students currently experience to what they hope to see in their community.
The Iola High School Conversation will take place on January 16th, and it will be open to the entire student body. The goal of the conversation will be to get students thinking about their vision for the future and to preserve that vision in a time capsule to be displayed publicly.
This youth engagement initiative is part of the NetWork Kansas‘ Community Solutions Grant in which we have partnered with KU CPPR and K-State Research & Extension.
