(Applications Closed) – Child Care Health Insurance Reimbursement Program (CHIRP)
APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED.
The All in for Kansas Kids Child Care Health Insurance Reimbursement Program (CHIRP) will provide reimbursements to Kansas child care providers up to $3,600 annually per child care provider to assist with the cost of purchasing health insurance for the child care provider only.
Eligibility Criteria:

Professionals: Full-time or part-time in-home child care providers, or preschool/daycare facility classroom educators or facility directors (excluding support staff).

Location: Kansas resident, working in a licensed child care facility in Kansas.

Insurance: Currently enrolled in, or actively seeking coverage through, a Marketplace, private, or employer-sponsored health insurance plan with associated out-of-pocket premiums.
Priority consideration will be given to:

In-home Child Care Providers
-
Child Care Providers earning less than $45,000 per year
-
Child Care Providers actively seeking health insurance coverage
APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED.
Please note:
- Year 2 applications should only be submitted via the portal link above.
- Be sure to register for a new account the first time you click on the apply link. After that you should be able to use your username and password to come back to the application to finish and submit.
- Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and according to the eligibility criteria listed above. All current participants must reapply for Year 2 of CHIRP.
Due to funding cuts, this will be the last year this program is offered.
