Transportation

Thrive Allen County launched transportation services in 2020. We provide safe and accessible transportation to Allen County residents for their health and wellness needs. Thrive offers two types of transportation: public and safety net.

General Public Transportation

Need a ride across town to the grocery store, library, or work? Our public transportation program can get you there. Our bus offers rides to in-county destinations. We do not run on fixed routes at this time; call to request a ride.

Non-Emergent Medical & Safety Net Transportation

Have an appointment outside the county? You can use safety net transportation to visit in- or out-of-county doctors, dentists, therapists, social service offices, and more. All trips must be made within 115 miles of Allen County, Kansas. Our service area includes Topeka, Kansas City, Wichita, and Joplin.

Who We Serve

We serve residents of Allen County regardless of age or income. Riders under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Service hours are 7:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday through Friday.

Your Transportation

We utilize a twelve-person bus for public transportation and a four-door sedan or van for safety net rides. Our vehicles are equipped with seat belts and airbags, and they are regularly cleaned and sanitized. Our drivers are trained in passenger assistance, first aid, and defensive driving.

The following items are eligible luggage: wheelchairs, walkers, necessary medical equipment, packages and/or groceries. Only service animals are allowed in the vehicle.

Liquor stores, tobacco or vape shops, and locations that are unsafe for our drivers or other passengers are not eligible.

All riders must wear a mask and seatbelt during the ride. There is no smoking, riding under the influence, or using abusive, threatening or obscene language or behavior. Full rules of conduct may be found here.
