Open Enrollment–the time period allotted to sign up for health insurance on the federal marketplace–begins November 1 and runs through December 15. Thrive has 3 Navigators to assist consumers in the enrollment process. We are encouraging people to call us as soon as possible to schedule appointments due to this short time frame. Last year Thrive navigators saw more than 375 consumers during the Open Enrollment period! Our navigators are experienced in assisting our community members in better understanding their insurance options, explaining the terminology being used, and understanding the often confusing information consumers are bombarded with in their mailboxes. Thrive will also be doing outreach events throughout the county to better assist those who may not be able to make it into our office.

Current outreach events are scheduled for:

• the Family Physicians Community Health Fair in Iola at the Grey Barn at Allen Community College on November 3 from 9:00am–1:00pm
• in Humboldt on November 13 at 7:00pm (location TBD)
• at the Humboldt public library on November 20 and 29, and December 13 from 4:00–6:00pm.

Thrive will also have Navigators available by appointment-only on Saturday, November 17 and Saturday, December 8.
