On April 9th, Thrive Allen County hosted a Community Conversation in La Harpe, Kansas.
Our Community Conversation in the City of La Harpe, Ks went really well yesterday evening! Some things they loved most about their community:
- Their park and storm shelters
- La Harpe Days (which brings a lot of people to their town)
- Their fitness center
- How quick the city responds to issues (power outages, etc.)
- The fact that they had just finished a housing assessment.
Some things they would like to see improve:
- Communications
- City-wide cleanup homes/yards
- More community involvement
- The development of a local gas station/general store.
